MERRY CHRISTMAS!
.
To all faithful Translated Music listeners and the faithful few who follow what's up with this site, I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Despite the ups and downs, we have managed to release a significant amount of new music through this site, and have raised the bar in the way songs are delivered to you. Everything from the cover art to the sleek wallpapers, this year has been a breakthrough year with everything that has happened. The standard is set, the bar is raised and by His grace we will continue to keep putting out electronic music from a Higher dimention.
There will be 2 more releases coming this year (December 20th and 30th) with 3 new tracks and a bonus track as well. Stay tuned New Year's Eve week to get first dibs on this upcoming bonus release!
May you all have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year 2009!

Notice regarding change in release format |

To all Translated Faithful,
From here on out, I will be no longer releasing massive-length tracks to the general public. Generally when producing a trance song, you need long intro/outros to mix and merge tracks, and to have a lot of content to work with when DJing. However, I've made the decision recently to stop publishing these versions all together.
This is because, for the average listener, having a song last longer than 7 minutes becomes severely tedious, monotonous, and causes fatigue, not to mention dread when a song gets played at a venue--ie. a party etc.
Most folks don't have a clue why songs are created with long intros/outros and don't need to. They just want to get "right to the good stuff" of the song, and having a long intro really defeats this purpose. If a track that's intended to only be used by DJs gets played during lunch dishes, up to 2 minutes of listening is wasted by needless measures of music that isn't really meant to be played on it's own. Furthermore, if a track gets played on a radio station like "The Glitch", I would rather feature the better parts of a trance song that I've produced rather than drag a listener through needless beats.
Songs from here on out with the suffix " (edit) " in the title line means that the song has been cut down from it's original and pure version for general purpose listening. I will also try and keep the tracks under 4 minutes, 5 at the most. I've had folks tell me that, while they liked a particular song, it seemed "too long". Absolutely, I wholeheartedly agree--which is why I am making this change.
If you are the odd one out who likes to DJ, create mixtapes, practice the art of DJing with CDJ turntables or virtual turntables, or if you just love jogging endlessly to 140 BPM, I will release the full-length track on a case-by-case basis. You must contact me via the contact page and ask for the specific track. A legitimate reason would be, "Hi Phil, I'm a DJ and I'm trying to keep my crate current with full-length exclusive tracks", etc. I'll then make a decision to reply with a link etc.
The point is, it never hurts to ask--I'll always try and reply as soon as I can--if I can't for whatever reason release a full length track, I'll be sure to inform you why.
Keep bouncin',
Phil
